The city has many schools to choose from, including public, private, and charter schools. There are also a number of private schools that provide scholarships for low-income students. The city also offers excellent public transportation options. No matter where you’re going, you’ll find it easy to get around. Charlotte is home to Central Piedmont Community College, Johnson & Wales University, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

The city’s history dates back to the first gold rush in the United States, which inspired the federal government to establish a branch of its US Mint in Charlotte. The Mint Museum occupies a historic building. During this time, Charlotte was home to several gold mines. Some streets were even paved with gold. The city has been the site of numerous major sporting events, including NASCAR. The city hosted the first professional stock car race in 1949. The city is also home to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

In 1903, the state charter mandated that a library for African-Americans be opened in Charlotte. This library was located in Brooklyn, the historically black section of Charlotte. The library served as the first African-American library in the state and the southeast.
