From heated sports battles to chart-topping entertainers, Charlotte North Carolina offers something for every kind of entertainment fan. The Queen City’s Spectrum Center hosts a full schedule of national events, while the Levine Center for the Arts provides an infusion of high culture. With a diverse selection of local and touring performers, Charlotte’s music scene also delivers a steady stream of hits.
Fans can get their fill of the outdoors at Festival in the Park. This popular annual event is held in September at Freedom Park and features over 180 local artisans, artists and food vendors. Guests can shop, dance to live music and sample Charlotte cuisine.
For a more interactive experience, head to the Carolina Renaissance Festival. This popular event allows guests to escape to a simpler time in history and enjoy an artisan market, live music, comedy and equestrian demonstrations. Guests can also sample Renaissance-era food and drinks.
During the winter, visit Uptown Charlotte’s popular German holiday market, Christmas Village. Guests can browse handmade crafts and holiday decorations while enjoying traditional German food and drinks. The market is free to attend, but a donation of $5 is suggested.
During the winter, the SouthPark Mall’s outdoor ice skating rink opens for business. Grab a loved one and go for a spin around this festive attraction. The ice skating rink will remain open until January. On November 11, fans can watch country hitmakers Eli Young Band perform at The Amp. This show will begin at 7 p.m.
