What I gotta do you know I got something To prove obviously I don't got the Respect I want I'm gonna get on that List regardless one of these days And we hooked up I just need the Wi-Fi we good Thank you All right guys here we go We'll get started the good thing about This time of year is we all know how Important training camp is you know we Know where we want to go we know the Steps that need to be taken and we know This step is critical for a lot of Reasons the 2023 season is here it's It's time it's go time I've been around The block a few times we've all been Around a block a few times I know what's Ahead of us it's a long and it's a Grueling road ahead there's going to be Some highs and there's going to be some Lows There's going to be the expected things That we all know are coming And then there's going to be a few Unexpected things that have come upon us At the end of the day if I'm going to Make it through this journey I need to Stay true to who I am and I was trying To think of one word or a phrase and you Know being a little bit older than you Guys I'm like I'm trying you you say Okay what's a word that would connect With all of us not just me
So I checked around with a few guys I Checked around with a few guys and I Said okay we're going to keep it a Hundred right Am I saying that right Am I saying all right we're going to Keep it a hundred Is that right Bryce am I good yeah honey Without the art oh okay All right you guys know what I'm talking About So I said all right I'm gonna write that List I'm going to write that that Hundred list what are the lessons that I've learned what are the truths I need To know one of the things I need to be Reminded of over this next journey in The 2023 season so the first point was Simply Believe No matter what believe In the players the coaches our process Or organization Believe in each other Foreign Panthers and their fans the first day of Practice at training camp and today they Had an audience there were a number of Panthers fans making that trip to Spartanburg the team is down in Spartanburg South Carolina for the next Few weeks and optimism's really high for This team it really should be fun to Watch a lot of new faces do head coach

Practice You got beat Five minutes I want us to look at a two-sided coin That kind of two mantras that can help Us have the balance and give us the Direction that we need to go The first one there's a lot of value in It and it's simply 1-0 okay it's goal Oriented it shrinks a really big problem A really big season down into one week 1-0 it shrinks that week into one day One and oh let's go 1-0 today that's a Very positive thing that's a very Powerful thing it implies a confidence That we got the guys we got the plan we Got everything we need to go 1-0 But there's a couple dangers with the 1-0 mindset 1-0 is in the future That can be a trap it's a good thing but When you just think about the goal and You have the expectation of 1-0 that's a Future outcome there's kind of a Mentality of I got this Rather than I gotta earn this And what I want to challenge us to think About is this mentality of I gotta earn This We're talking about a two-sided coin That says 1-0 on the back what's on the Front side And it's simple there's nothing profound About it But that's on the front side
Oh no We're o and O That's the present there's nothing been Decided that mentality of making sure We're owing on each play and you know Having intent all right All right reset there's no carry forward Anything you've done in the past does Not count Who you were in the past doesn't count All that matters is who you will be on The next play well I feel like we've Been getting disrespected for a minute Which is you know I'm saying it's Understandable it's cool at the end of The day we got to go out there and prove It and we got to prove that we're as Good as we are on paper I got to prove It as a coach you have to prove it as a Player we have to prove it as a coaching Staff That's what this league is all about I Came back because the guys I came back Because I know what the hell we had Going on because we walk out onto that Practice field we're thinking oh and oh We walk off that practice field we're Saying wanna know right that's the way We start and finish the day every day at Work day Zero and zero the immediate Attention is going to be insane it's Rogers Jets there's Hard Knocks one of The greatest QBs to play this game it's Gonna be a fun battle it's the first
Time the number one overall pick is Going to be competing against somebody Else it's a great group that they're Coming in and bringing with so it's Going to be very competitive joint Practices always get a little spicy a Little chippy I think it's going to be a Lot of fun to see these two go at it Let's start let's build on it tomorrow Three one two three [Music]
