Charlotte is a bustling city with a diverse culture and plenty of fun things to do. The pros of living in Charlotte include its beautiful, mild climate that still experiences four seasons, the many fun restaurants and bars to choose from, a strong job market (especially for those working in the finance industry), and a surplus of family-friendly activities. On the downside, it can be quite hot during the summer, and residents can expect a lot of traffic on the roads thanks to its car-centric nature.
If you’re a foodie, check out the annual South End Wine & Hops Festival that takes place each spring in Charlotte. Sample more than 75 craft beers and enjoy the music and culinary treats at this popular event.
Sports enthusiasts are also well-served in Charlotte. The city is home to multiple professional teams including the Panthers, Hornets, and Bobcats. The city is also known as the birthplace of NASCAR racing and hosts the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Uptown Charlotte.
Those who love to learn about a city’s history will be happy to hear that Charlotte does a great job of preserving and displaying its rich history. The Levine Museum of the New South is a popular destination where visitors can get a comprehensive understanding of the area’s past, from Civil War to modern day.
