Known as the “Queen City” and “Oasis of the South”, Charlotte is a warm-weather destination for families and individuals. It’s a bustling city that offers endless opportunities for people of all backgrounds. Charlotte is also a budget-friendly destination for those looking to live in a close-knit community.
Charlotte offers a diverse cultural scene, including festivals and entertainment for all tastes. Some of the festivals in Charlotte include the Latin-American Festival, Festival in the Park, and the New Music Festival. Each festival offers a range of entertainment, including concerts, art exhibits, and music workshops.
There’s also a wide variety of food and drink to choose from, including Chinese, Mexican, and Italian cuisine. Charlotte is also home to several breweries, including Sycamore Brewing, Divine Barrel Brewing, and Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. A brewery tour is also available, so beer drinkers can appreciate the care that goes into brewing.
One of the best art-related Charlotte attractions is the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. This museum has over one million pieces of art, including works by Edgar Degas and Jasper Johns. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
The Charlotte Museum of History is another place to visit. The museum is located on the corner of Brevard and East Second Streets. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is $7 for children 6 to 17.
The Charlotte Hornets play at the Spectrum Center. The Charlotte Panthers play at Bank of America Stadium. Charlotte is also home to the minor league Charlotte Checkers. Charlotte is an ideal city for young professionals looking for a fun and vibrant community.
