The city of Charlotte has a lot to offer. It’s full of diverse neighborhoods that cater to almost any lifestyle. From a fast-paced cosmopolitan atmosphere to family friendly communities, there are plenty of areas in which to find the best home for you and your loved ones.
One of the best things about moving to Charlotte is the fact that it’s a very safe and welcoming place to live. The crime rate is lower than most major cities in the US, and residents feel that they can go out at night without worrying about being attacked or robbed.
Another thing to love about Charlotte is that there are plenty of things to do indoors if the weather doesn’t cooperate. There are many museums, shows, and activities that keep people busy throughout the year. The Discovery Place with its IMAX Theatre and many other exhibits is popular with kids. The Performing Arts Center hosts live music and other performances. There are also many tours of the city, including historic city and comedy tours. A portion of the proceeds from these tours goes to support local charities, such as Bloom for a Cure (a fundraiser for GMPPA, an ultra-rare disease that affects one child in the city).
It’s no surprise that sports are big in Charlotte. The city has many teams from all four of the major US sports leagues. The biggest draw is the NASCAR Hall of Fame, which is a popular destination for visitors and fans. Charlotte also has a basketball team and a hockey team, and recently it got its first professional football team when the 49ers joined the Football Bowl Subdivision.
